PDFjam is a small collection of shell scripts that work similarly to the well known psutils (psmerge, psnup). They provide a simple interface to some of the functionality of the pdfpages package for pdfLaTeX. At present, the utilities available are pdfnup, pdfjoin, and pdf90. PDFjam depends on a working installation of (pdf)LaTeX. - pdfnup puts multiple document pages together on one physical page at a reduced size - pdfjoin concatenates multiple PDF documents - pdf90 rotates the pages of PDF documents

2011-03-28 - puzel@novell.com - update to pdfjam-2.08 * In the "pdfbook" script, the option "--booklet true" is now the default. * Two additional graphics file formats, JPEG and PNG, are now explicitly allowed as input. - run spec-cleaner

2010-05-07 - puzel@novell.com - update to pdfjam-2.05 * This version includes an enhancement of the "pdfbook" script to facilitate short-edge binding. * The "--preamble" option of the "pdfjam" script is also enhanced, to concatenate multiple instances of that option in the call. * Some minor errors in man pages are corrected.

2010-04-22 - puzel@novell.com - update to pdfjam-2.04 * fix a bug that caused problems with zsh as the executing shell, and a bug which caused incorrect representation of UTF-8 characters in "pdfinfo" data. * various small enhancements and bugfixes * script now allows JPEG format files to be specified as input (experimental feature)

    2010-04-15 - puzel@novell.com - update to pdfjam-2.02 - more portability fixes

    2010-04-14 - puzel@novell.com - update to pdfjam-2.01 - portability fixes

2010-04-09 - puzel@novell.com - update to pdfjam-2.00 * The new script pdfjam now does all the work; all the other scripts included with the package are just simple wrappers for pdfjam. * Pdfjam can take PDF input from /dev/stdin, and send output to /dev/stdout. * With multiple input files, pdfjam offers two distinct methods of processing. The default is to take pages as specified from the input files, and combine them into a single document. If the --batch option is used, pdfjam operates separately on the input files, producing one output file per input file. * Other improvements.
